We have had 3 wardrobes installed by Betta St Leonards over the last 9 years and all have been fantastic - price great and good quality. They managed to fit a full wall of wardrobes into our very wonky 120 year old house, and 4 years later match them perfectly in a new extension - they looked like they'd been installed at the same time. They were also able to create a walk in wardrobe out of a tricky shaped existing wardrobe space. When you've purchased a big-ticket item, of course you want to leave a good review. Sadly - this is a bad review. Briefly, the wardrobe emitted such a strong chemical smell from the bedroom, it was inhabitable. This, according to Google is called off-gassing. The home smelt like an acrylic nail salon and nearly 6 weeks later there is a sweet-sickly vinyl like smell in the room. The service was great. However, for a $2,700 custom wardrobe I was expecting better quality build. They used an ugly U channel plastic piece for the end panel of the wardrobe to attach to wall. Also used a scree cap sticker. Non of these are necessary if they had used a better technique to build. None of my other wardrobes ha e these cheap looking things.
Avoid Betta Wardrobes at all costs. The job was not as quoted, and it took five attempts to install the correct-sized doors. What should have been a one-day job dragged on for six weeks. Their team was unprofessional, unhelpful, and constantly bad-mouthed their own company. The final product is of poor quality, and when we asked for a discount due to the delays and issues, they offered a pathetic $150 off. I had a frustrating and unacceptable experience with Betta Wardrobes. The contractor's installation work was acceptable, but upon arrival, he expressed concerns about Betta Wardrobes' measurements and job briefing. Despite it not being my issue, I was made to feel like it was my fault. At the job's end, I was informed of missing items requiring repair, which I agreed to.
